ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Marketing Manager, Mandala Club will report to Director of Marketing & Partnerships.
KEY OBJECTIVES & DELIVERABLES
● In conjunction with the Director of Marketing & Partnerships, lead and manage all marketing projects and initiatives for Mandala Club through a combination of strategic multi-platform marketing, public relations, special events management, and brand awareness.
● Assist the Director of Marketing & Partnerships in department and team administration and financial budgeting and adherence.
MEMBER COMMS/ENGAGEMENT:
● Oversee the composition and distribution of all lines of communication to members including newsletters, mail outs, on site leaflets, brochures, posters and supplements as well as all digital content and information published on member-facing portals. Overall leadership of acquisition/member journey from a CRM perspective.
● Provide guidance to, and collaboration with the Creative Studio Team, to assist with the creation of compelling and professionally delivered content (including the capturing and swift editing of still images and video footage from members events) for the Mandala Club website and newsletters, ensuring material is on brand, up to date, and delivered against deadline(s).
● Work with the Culture team to ensure all programming events are correctly communicated and effectively marketed via Mandala Club channels.
● Create and regularly refresh content for the Mandala Club website and member portal, ensuring club information and imagery, events, promotions and news are compelling in the ‘style’ of the Mandala Club.
EXTERNAL/PROSPECTIVE MEMBER ENGAGEMENT:
● Lead the creation of tools and materials created by the club to promote the club’s services and offerings and especially all membership pack materials, making sure they closely adhere to the Mandala Club brand guidelines in service of driving member acquisition. Ensure that these stay up to date with all club and group information.
● Support the concept creation of Mandala Club’s tactical promotions and hero activations around annual line-up of hero events including the likes of, but not limited to, Chinese New Year , IWD, Halloween, Festive programming and New Year’s Eve etc.
● Oversee the Club’s social media output, ensuring posts have appropriate messaging and content, and generate awareness and desire, without ‘lifting the veil’, destroying mystique or violating member privacy.
● Negotiate and implement media partnership and sponsorship agreements with aspirational brands, organisations, venues and groups that fit the Mandala Club brand for joint events, promotions and initiatives that enrich the member experience and generate revenue.
● Through utilizing an extensive and varied personal network of contacts, contribute ideas for event concepts and opportunities for the monthly Mandala Club members’ event calendar.
DIGITAL MARKETING & ADVERTISING
· Together with the Director of Marketing & Partnerships, build, plan and implement the overall digital marketing strategy for Mandala Club and its projects.
· Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices and propose ways to enhance our digital best practices within the business, including AI tools.
· Measure and report results with reference to the established ROI and KPIs.
· Prepare and manage a digital marketing budget.
· Manage and improve online content, considering SEO and Google Analytics.
· Lead on the design and build of best in class EDMs.
FINANCE, BUDGETING AND CLAIMS
● Work closely with the Finance team and adjacent departments in tracking, managing and reporting the marketing team’s monthly budgeting sheet, ensuring that all expenditures are collected and reported in a timely manner
● Assist in tracking, managing and reporting the marketing team’s financial claims.
● Support with and make recommendations for the annual marketing budget based on strategic marketing ideas for the Club.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
● Oversee club film/photo/fashion shoots, media interviews, press conferences and walk-in journalists by communicating to the various departments, conducting site inspections and providing the relevant details.
● Oversee the production of all club communications relating to sponsorship agreements including sponsorship documents, food and beverage components, booking advertising space and accommodation bookings.
● Support the PR Agency by ensuring they have all up to date press materials required and, together with the Director of Marketing & Partnerships, ensure that they are regularly briefed on the strategic focusses of the business.
● Maintain and update the media database and dispatch relevant information including press releases, photos, discs, logos etc when necessary. Maintain record of all media clippings and coverage.
● Provide support for the preparation of industry award submissions and leverage the strength of awards through various communication channels.
The need for flexibility
An essential part of this role is to be flexible with the needs of Mandala Club, and to be willing to work the required operational hours. The Mandala club operates across multiple sites, at night, on weekends and holidays and your roster will reflect this based on your role and responsibilities.
