The purpose of this post is to work in the Compliance Team with administrative tasks, ensuring systems are in place in respect of compliance, servicing and maintaining equipment for properties and sites, which require regular inspections, monitoring and updating, enabling Orwell to meet its statutory obligations as a landlord.
Key responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues throughout Orwell to ensure the delivery of the organisation's visions, values and objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with both internal and external customers, with particular emphasis on tenant liaison and communication on all aspects of servicing works required in a property.
- Support contractor liaison and plan the annual servicing pattern ensuring that a tenant's wishes are considered in the plan.
- Recognise situations when full and open communication is not possible e.g. issues of confidentiality, and deal with these in a sensitive and professional manner.
- Ensure that record keeping is accurate and up to date at all times and to organise a programme of works that ensures an efficient and effective manner of work throughout the housing stock.
- Assist in the verification receipt of certification and associated documentation to ensure regulatory and legislative compliance and to ensure evidence-based systems are in place to report upon.
Our ideal Assistant Compliance Administrator will be:
- Able to use different IT systems and databases.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite including Word Processing, Excel & Outlook
- Well organised and able to keep good records for data protection and financial purposes.
Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Level 2 & 3 Business Admin is desirable
- A relevant compliance qualification, is desirable
- Willingness to undertake further relevant training and development
