We have a fantastic opportunity for the Project Manager at Sizewell C.

You will be responsible for the direction and leadership of activities associated with the full life cycle delivery of a contract or work package assigned to them.
As the Project Manager, you’ll ensure delivery of all (or part of) the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule. This post will ensure planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project.
Scope of accountability may include the design and construction of on and off-site infrastructure that may include (but not be limited to) Park and Ride sites, Rail works, accommodation campus, temporary cabins, temporary construction roads, hardstandings, utility networks (comprising potable water, comms & data, power, fire fighting water etc) and highway works (comprising bypasses and public realm works to adoptable standards).


Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage on-site project activities, ensuring adherence to safety expectations, timelines, quality and budgets.

Obtaining Permits and Consents– for DCO compliance requirements.

Support the Senior Project Manager (SPM), Commercial and Procurement teams in the development and implementation of Sourcing Strategies and the development of tender documents.
Provide written and oral reports and attend weekly and monthly reports to the SPM and engage with Site Delivery management for progress presentations. Reports will include (but not be limited to) H&S, progress, cost, and environmental monitoring, production rates, stakeholder relationships etc.

Respond to tender queries, meet with suppliers if required and provide input to tender technical reviews.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and milestones.
Oversee contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Interface with other projects and programmes to ensure a high-level view of how the total project is progressing and to identify and adopt the use of best practices.

Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project progression.

Essential Skills
Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, major complex projects (value size approx. £50
- £100 mil plus), ideally such as HS2, HPC, Thames Tideway, CrossRail, Transport for London (TfL).Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
Experience in contractor and approving authority management and delivery of adoptable highways and associated structures and utilities.

Significant experience in development of programmes and resource management.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, (Sizewell C has many internal and external stakeholders and interested parties with whom we must to effectively engage and coordinate using positive dialogue).

Intellectual capacity to deal with complex issues and work within our local supply chain vision, creating a one team ethos.

Ideally, you’ll have a civil engineering background with a potential specialism in road construction,

Degree standard education or recent relevant senior management experience working at a similar level in a related industrial setting.

IOSH Construction Safety Qualification/ NEC3 Contract training.

Good knowledge in CDM regulations.

Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM). Primavera P6.

- Sizewell C Limited will be moving offices from 90 Whitfield Street to 25 Copthall Avenue.25 Copthall Avenue is a modern building just a short walk from Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations. Sizewell C will occupy the whole of the 4th floor. We are targeting a move in February 2025.
This role will be contractually based at 25 Copthall Avenue. However, depending on the date of the move there may be a period that you will be required to work temporarily from our existing office at 90 Whitfield Street.

The Role

You’ll be the primary point of contact responsible for:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and milestones.

The Planning Coordinator is responsible for providing key support to the Sizewell C Planning Team in the delivery of obligations set out in the (DCO) Consent and Deed of Obligation.
The role will help to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, the packaging and delivery of key electronic submissions and also maintaining the required controls for managing documents in company systems and trackers.

What you’ll be doing Your responsibilities will include:

Working with and supporting a team of planning specialists responsible for the compliance with the governance requirements of the DCO and provide any additional consents necessary for the construction programme.

Supporting the delivery of the planning strategy required for the Project.

Supporting on any material or non-material changes required to the existing Development Consent Order and delivering the strategy and approvals to secure these changes.

Developing and maintaining the exceptional relationships required with the Local Authorities at Officer level to effectively discharge all planning Requirements under the DCO.
Supporting the engagement with all key stakeholders and decision makers on planning matters for the SZC project.

Supporting the required governance arrangements for the DCO including the Governance Groups and processes specified in the SZC Deed of Obligation.

Coordinating all planning work in line with the specified budgets and feeding into the monthly financial reporting process with forecast spend against each budget line item to inform accruals.

Helping to arrange regular visits to the construction site for the relevant Officers from the Local Authorities.

Anticipate, manage and resolve issues within the work area, including process, programme, risk, budget and priorities.

Ensure schedules are developed and maintained for all work undertaken and record keeping is in line with project requirements.

To ensure compliance and appropriate reporting with the relevant commitments and controls, ensuring the relevant teams understand what is required of them.

Supporting on ad hoc activities necessary to support the DCO or wider Project teams from time to time.

Manage the relevant work scope and drive the delivery of activities to ensure they are delivered safely on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements and standards.

Monitor and manage the progress of the programme across all team members and their consultants within the work area.

Who you are

A qualification in a relevant discipline (such as town planning or environmental ), with demonstrable technical knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements for projects, at all stages of the planning process.

You will have recent experience working in a major infrastructure project roles.

You will demonstrate strong organisational skills.

You will understand the need for quality and how quality is assured and controlled.

You will possess good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks both internally and externally is essential.

The Role

The Site Operations Facilities Management (FM) Delivery Lead reports directly to the Site Operations Facilities Management Manager and is responsible for the day to day services and projects delivery and implementation, of a specific package of work. Responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of a singular but substantial support service in accordance with all safety, quality time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the facilities team to support the construction project.
The FM Delivery Lead will provide technical input and advice for their scope of work – and will be involved in all stages of the procurement, planning, implementation and operation of their key contract area managing the FM Contract provider currently Dalkia.
The FM Delivery Lead will be responsible for supporting the developing, reviewing and amending policies and procedures that underpin strategy within their work area, and may also be called upon to help prepare detailed specifications, in support of the procurement process.


Key Responsibilities

Manage day to day the provision of a critical site support service to a construction workforce of circa 8,000.

Manage and be directly responsible for a specific facilities service contract.

Be accountable for ensuring all statutory, regulatory and site controls are complied with.

Ensure the contract partners team are fully competent to perform their assigned roles – and that any shortfalls are reported to the Service Manager without delay.

Develop and implement plans to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds the expectations and project work schedule.
Ensure early intervention to avoid any escalation of issues affecting service delivery by working in the spirit of a ‘one team approach’ .
Ensure effective relationships with their service contract partner and champion are delivered to the highest standards and aligned with company values.

The Skills
Degree standard education in related subject and/or experience working in a major infrastructure project role in the UK, with relevant Facilities Management experience.

Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks both internally and externally at all levels.

The Role

In this role will have a direct report to the Head of HS&W and be responsible for assurance, incident investigation management, H&S Management system, HS&W Performance reporting, innovation, HSW digitisation and the development of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team.

You’ll influence the performance of health and safety professionals within the project supply chain. You’ll manage the implementation of the whole lifecycle HSW on the project through pre-construction, construction delivery and commissioning.
Support numerous multidisciplinary construction delivery teams, driving performance across several contractors and design teams.


Key Responsibilities


Own and manage the SZC health and safety management system, working with the SZC HS&W Leadership team, the SZC Delivery leadership team and the extended supply chain.

Consult as required with legal and regulatory bodies, managing accreditation, membership audits, and awarding bodies.

Champion and support the H&S Culture Programme, help to develop and maintain the course delivery approach and content.

Connect with all members of the SLT and HSW Team, and maintain/ develop exceptional relationships.

You’ll engage with all Trade Partners and Alliance Partners (Tier 1s etc) to create an inclusive culture in HSMS Management.

Ensure innovation, research, and adoption of cutting edge, market leading products, technologies, methods, and services are regularly promoted, captured, and shared to support the delivery of HS&W.

Support the project leadership team in setting HS&W maturity goals, tracking progress, and report performance.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the development of the new seawater desalination plant at Sizewell C. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of the project. The project aims to treat seawater to potable standards for both domestic and industrial use, filling the gap caused by expected delays in the piped mains water supply from Essex and Suffolk Water.

You will support the design, installation, and operation of the Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant located in the Temporary Construction Area (TCA). You’ll look to ensure that all mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, and automation (MEPICA) elements are integrated effectively. Your role will also include managing the intake and outtake pipelines, as well as the Marine Pumping Station (PS) Compound, which is critical for seawater intake and brine outfall.



The Role



As the Desalination Project Manager you will lead the delivery of the desalination plant. You will oversee the Desalination Contract, manage technical and engineering processes, and ensure seamless coordination across areas such as safety, health, and environmental practices, design, construction, and plant operation.

Strong leadership will be key in ensuring the project meets client specifications, stays on track with timelines, and adheres to budgetary requirements. A key part of your role is managing risks, facilitating changes, and upholding the highest technical standards, contributing significantly to the success and efficiency of the desalination plant and the overall progress of the Sizewell C project.

The Opportunity

As a senior leader in our SIDO team, you’ll be a project controls subject matter expert and responsible for providing true project and programme intelligence required to deliver the SIDO programme outcomes and benefits. We’ll want to see your enthusiasm for delivering projects alongside an appetite to drive innovation on our mission of continued safe generation.

- PMO Management: Accountable for developing the Programme Control strategies, processes and procedures and monitoring their effectiveness for SIDO. Continuously improving methods for analysing and reporting on programme performance. Working with Enterprise Project Controls to seek process and system improvements to achieve the highest standards.

Who you are

We’re looking for you to be a subject matter expert in Project Control techniques within complex, multi-functional organisations with the ability to apply industry best practice. You’ll need experience in leading a Programme Management Office within large, complex Programmes of a strategic nature, in an operational environment that’s preferably in a highly regulated industry. Management and leadership experience directing multi-disciplinary teams addressing Programme and/or Project issues and requirements is paramount. You should also have a comprehensive understanding of governance and oversight principles required to successfully deliver the works. You’ll need to be capable of delivering within an integrated/matrix managed organisation, responsible for the delivery of work by those who may not directly report to you.

You’ll need to have at least a Level 4 qualification (HNC or equivalent) and it would be advantageous if you’re educated to degree level or equivalent and preferably a Chartered member of a relevant professional institution. You should be values driven with a straightforward management style and approach. We’re looking for an effective communicator at all levels, able to demonstrate the ability to gain respect, demonstrate credibility and influence decisions. Demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office IT packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and industry planning tools is paramount.

The Opportunity
Sizewell C is seeking a dynamic FM Workspace Management Delivery Lead to take responsibility for the delivery, implementation, and management of workspace planning across our office and internal building areas. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining a database of space usage, occupiers, furniture, fittings, and equipment to ensure efficient and effective use of workspaces in line with the SZC construction project needs.
As the FM Workspace Management Delivery Lead will ensure that all workspace services are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, time, and cost efficiency, meeting the demands of the SZC construction project for accommodation and work areas. This role requires an experienced leader who can provide expert input and guidance on workplace planning, strategy, procurement, implementation, and contract management.

The Role

You’ll manage day to day the provision of a workspace management service for SZC office buildings and facilities for existing and future building areas in addition to:

Be directly responsible for a specific service contract deliverable to support the role with CAD and moves management.
Be accountable for ensuring all statutory, regulatory and site controls are complied with.
Form effective relationships with their service contract partner and lead manager for the service, clarity, respect, positivity, humility and integrity.
Ensure the CAD and database software packages are suitable for use of the team to maintain Master drawings and data files.

Ensure the contract partners team are fully competent to perform their assigned roles – and that any shortfalls are reported to the Service Manager without delay.
Develop and implement plans to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds the expectations and project work schedule – includes collection of forecasting information on workforce requirements.
Ensure early intervention to avoid any escalation of issues affecting service delivery by working in the spirit of a ‘one team approach’.
Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work and the interfaces with all other elements of the project.
Anticipate and resolve any issues arising with the FM contractor for package of works and services, identifying risks and facilitating their resolution or escalate to Service Manager.
Support the preparation of monthly reports workspace management including safety performance, performance against SLAs, performance against KPIs, financial reporting, project forecasting and forward planning.
Address office building technical and service delivery concerns and develop solutions for approval.
Co-ordinate the delivery of workspace services and play a key role in managing the process to include: Safety, quality, risk and environmental management.

To be successful in this role you’ll be:

Degree standard education in related subject or equivalent experience.

It’s essential that you’re CAD trained and qualified.

Experience of working with and developing budgets.
Management or leadership experience in a service lead environment.

We're looking for a number of Project Managers from the construction or energy sector to join our expanding site team, working on site at Sizewell C.
These are pivotal roles key to the success of SZC, and you’ll be joining the project at a vital time in its construction, with an opportunity to grow with the project.
The Role
You’ll be based on site at Sizewell C, responsible for delivering a section of the site depending on your specific scope, within budget and on schedule to support the successful build of the project.
What You'll Do:
Lead and manage on-site project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and milestones.
Implement best practices in project management to optimize efficiency and quality.
Oversee contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project progression.
What You'll Bring:

Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, major complex projects (value size approx £18 mil plus), such as HS2, HPC, Thames Tideway, CrossRail, Transport for London (TfL).
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the energy or construction sector.
Experience with NEC contracts with multiprogram construction background.
NEC 3 /4 or Constuction qualifications or other relevant memberships.Ability to deliver contacts scope within fast pace and changing environment.
It’d be great if you’ve got a qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related field.

We have a fantastic opportunity for several Senior Project Managers (and Project Managers) to spearhead the end-to-end delivery of Systems, Structures, and Components within our Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning framework for SZC.
This’ll be a pivotal role key to the success of SZC, and you’ll be joining the project at a vital time in its construction, with an opportunity to grow with the project.
The Role
Based on site and reporting directly to the Site Establishment Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing direction and leadership for all activities associated with the full lifecycle delivery of assigned contracts.
You'll be responsible for managing a group of Project Managers, ensuring the successful delivery of a diverse scope of projects with capital values ranging from £100m to £500m.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Defining the work scope within contracts and packages, managing interfaces with other program elements.
- Securing necessary resources and maintaining SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) within the project team.
- Developing and executing effective execution strategies and plans aligned with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
- Driving delivery of contracts, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and meeting technical requirements.
- Monitoring progress, identifying and resolving issues, managing risks, and facilitating resolution.
- Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and reporting progress to senior management.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and applying principles of continuous improvement.
- Managing financial aspects, including reviewing contractor payment applications and applying Earned Value Management principles.What You'll Bring:
A track record of successfully delivering projects in complex regulated environments, preferably within nuclear energy or similar sectors.
Experience in engineering design, contract management, procurement, cost control, and risk management.
Strong leadership and management skills, including stakeholder engagement and team management.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies such as APM Body of Knowledge and Prince 2.
Detailed understanding of EPR design and familiarity with NEC and FIDIC contracts.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Chartered status in engineering, construction, or related field, with a degree qualification.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations and nuclear quality assurance practices.

- Ecology to join our Ecology l team at Sizewell C (SZC). This is a great time to join an exciting project. Experience in Ecology projects isn't essential although, a strong PM process background and solid commercial awareness are essential.The ideal candidate will have experience working with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors and a working knowledge of planning methodologies. Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
The Role
You’ll be the primary responsible for: Supporting planning and delivery associated with the full life cycle delivery of contracts and packages.

Ensuring a full and consistent compliance to all appropriate Ecology Standards is delivered.

Maintaining effective communications with all stakeholders, suppliers and teams.

Responding to tender queries, meetings with suppliers, and if required providing input to tender technical reviews. Managing and resolving issues within the contact or package in timely manner.

Ensuring the List of Deliverables relating to the scope of work is delivered.

Knowledge of HSE practices, including reviewing RAMs and conducting site inspections, is required.

Ideally, knowledge of the effect of Ecology constraints on construction would be beneficial, but not essential.

The Skills
Experience in design and, or the delivery of projects. Good knowledge of CDM Regulations. Knowledge or experience of applying APM body of knowledge and OGC's Prince 2. IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs – Word/Excel/Outlook and PowerPoint is essential for tracking and reporting progress.
The ability to re-prioritise tasks in fast paced changing environment.

Degree or membership association.

The project is expected to last around 2 years and will involve building a new rail line branching from the current line to assist in the delivery of materials for the build of Sizewell C.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager with specialist knowledge of Instrumentation and Control to join SZC, supporting our Nuclear Island (NI) programme throughout the delivery of the project.

The Role
Working closely with the Supply Chain, Responsible Designer and Quality teams, you’ll be dedicated to delivering a group of I&C systems & contracts within the SZC NI programme.
Ensuring a coordinated approach to design and delivery will be key, so you’ll need to manage the interfaces between internal and external stakeholders in the preparation of contracts, design changes, and managing risks and opportunities.
You’ll also develop and implement strategies and plans in line with the overall programme execution plan, define the scope of work to be delivered within contracts and packages of work, and drive the implementation of site
- specific design changes.
The Skills
You’ll be a Project Manager specialized in I&C, with Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or Nuclear Engineering university background, capable of coordinating multi-disciplinary design/ procurement work, driving teams to deliver on time.
You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects through the project lifecycle from concept to handover, with:

- Experience of the pre-tender and tender stages of procuring contracts for the design and installation of industrial equipment.
- Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment.Having a record of delivering complex, large scale projects, whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment, is necessary.
Additionally, you’ll have good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills as well as excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
