The successful candidates will provide ongoing support to the organisation, ensuring we meet our growth targets and operational management of our Extra Care schemes across each of their particular regions.
As an Extra Care Manager you will work within an established Extra Care management team. You will manage a portfolio of Extra Care services in a defined geographical patch and provide inspirational leadership to ensure we deliver high quality housing and /or care services whilst maintaining compliance at all times.
The successful individual will meet the following requirements:
Significant experience as a practitioner and/or manager with proven skills and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Services for older people, residential day or community services for older people, Extra Care or home care services for older people, prevention, or re-enablement services for older people and those with complex needs
- Experience of leading and managing a dispersed team, ideally within an organisation providing social care and / or social housing
- In-depth understanding of Care Quality Commission essential standards and their impact in care management
- Understanding and knowledge of:
- Health and Safety Legislation
- Mental Capacity Act 2005
- DOLS and LPS
- Equality Act 2010
- Care Act 2014
- Safeguarding Adults
- Mental health act 1986
- Multi-agency risk assessment meetings
- Domestic Abuse Act 2021
- Business, Housing or Social Care management qualification
- Strong IT skills
You will be passionate about providing an integrated offer of housing and care and a positive leader with a can-do attitude who leads by example. You’ll be able to interpret management reports in order to make effective decisions and have the ability to plan and organise a busy workload whilst maintaining high-performing services.
