The Role
You’ll ensure supply-chain adherence to the contracted quality assurance and quality control requirements, as well as supporting the Quality Director and Quality Delivery Managers with achieving adherence with the Integrated Management System arrangements.
Additionally, you’ll act as ‘Intelligent Customer’ in the capacity of ensuring that arrangements are in place, and effectively implemented by the supply chain, building on the lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C (HPC).
You’ll help to:
Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control arrangements across the SZC organization.
Lead the review, acceptance, and monitoring of Contractors Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP).
Produce Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP) and ensure compliance with key quality contractual arrangements.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including contracted inspection entities.
Perform audits, surveillance, and joint inspections to maintain quality standards.
Lead the resolution of non-conformances and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Review and deliver end-of-manufacturing records for equipment release.
The Skills
You’ll need to have experience in project delivery, preferably in the nuclear power sector, with a focus on project quality.
A solid understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning will be key.
Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO standards, and ideally nuclear sector regulations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
Proven leadership experience and the ability to influence and provide constructive challenge.
Experience in supplier management and performing supplier audits.

What you’ll be doing…
The Engineering Lead will have experience in planning and constructing complex construction projects to achieve the job purpose objectives by implementing, as a minimum, the following as appropriate for the work being performed:
- Advocating safe and effective planning of works for site construction.
- Ensuring that conventional and nuclear safety considerations are recognised as essential to the success of the project and built into the planning processes.

The Opportunity...

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, oversees the design (basic design) and the realisation (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects.

EPR-E is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

As an Environmental Engineer, you will be involved with both the HPC and SZC Project activities. In this role you will be working inside the Transverse Discipline Section, in charge of Environment and Safety topics for Edvance UK.

As part of the Environment Team, you will be required to provide high quality support and excellent levels of professionalism to the design teams, while ensuring the design and implementation of the design meets the environmental requirements and standards that would be expected of such prestigious Projects.

- Managing technical topics relating to the environmental requirements for systems and buildings as part of the design.

- Overseeing the chemical inventory production and COMAH justification for Edvance UK scope; applying the methodology for the Edvance UK buildings and systems and producing the associated reports.
- Participating to various Working Groups in regular meetings with other design entities, Client or Regulator, when relevant topics are discussed.

Who you are…

Your background may include some of the following:

- Experience working in an engineering project.
- Knowledge of environmental requirement implementation and environmental studies and assessments (preferably from a highly regulated industry).
- Knowledge of the demonstration of Best Available Techniques (BAT).
- Knowledge of Nuclear Safety Assessment Principles and experience of their application.
- Appropriate academic background to support working as an Environmental Engineer.
- Experience in system design and layout engineering.
- Knowledge and the ability to navigate PDMS and Navisworks software.

What you'll be doing

As a Project Control Lead, alongside reporting into the Project Controls Group Head, you will:


- Ensure full compliance with the Investment Delivery Process (IDP) requirements as well as ensuring consistency, coherence and adherence to planning and control standards

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Independent Site Inspector in the Independent Nuclear Assurance (INA), a function within the Safety, Security and Assurance Directorate. INA independently assesses and monitors performance for all safety related aspects of the Sizewell C project, considering compliance against regulation, national and international best practice, and with a focus on continuous improvement, and maintaining strong nuclear safety culture. This role will oversee activities on site, and as a result is based on location at Sizewell C. There may be some opportunity to work flexibly from home, around the project activities, and we provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
The Role


You’ll manage and coordinate the provision of proportionate oversight and assessment of Sizewell C Project undertakings with nuclear safety as the overriding priority.

The role involves relationship management, both internally and externally (including Regulators), requiring the ability to influence individuals at all levels.
You’ll be a skilled construction or safety practitioner, with the ability to work in a highly regulated assurance role.

You’ll support the ISI Manager and ISI team, in ensuring that the Sizewell C project creates and maintains a strong safety culture, good performance, and effectively manages safety risks.

The Skills

You’ll be a skilled safety practitioner with experience in an assurance or oversight role.

You’ll have good awareness of the UK regulatory regime, be able to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation and be able to demonstrate high ethical behaviour, integrity, humility, and character. You’ll have experience in a large infrastructure project and / or experience in a nuclear/high-hazard regulated industry is a significant advantage.

Experience in construction, with the ability to identify and effectively challenge substandard. behaviour and practices. You will have proven track record in building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders and Regulators. We’re looking for a full time Fleet Training Support Specialist within the Nuclear Skills Alliance (NSA). Within this role, you will work in a team that hold responsibility for the administration and management of training role profile builds within the company Learning Management System as well as training compliance reporting and analysis at a fleet level.

What you will be doing

The core responsibilities and day-to-day tasks of the Fleet Training Support Specialist are varied. We are looking for someone who is keen and proactive to become a main point of contact for training role profile build, maintenance, reporting and analysis for the existing Power Stations and Central Support Functions, including the move to defueling. They will also provide reporting and data for fleet compliance indicators and other Key Performance Indicators.

The successful candidate will be heavily involved with the administration of MyLearningHub, providing oversight of the system from a Nuclear Operations perspective and supporting system users with advice and guidance on any queries. They will also need to understand the MyLearningHub infrastructure and how to utilise this to improve the system, including rolling out system upgrades to the business aimed at enhancing the functionality available to EDF.

What you will be doing…

With this, your management of developing engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery, Multi-discipline EPCM projects, Procurement and management of complex contracts, Control of costs / risks will be paramount in this role. - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Leadership and its application in complex projects. This, in turn, should link with holding excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
- Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders.

- Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment. Including NEC and FIDIC contracts.

What you’ll be doing

You will work within the EBS team, in a full stack DevOps role, which comprises of the full software delivery lifecycle from discovery through to design, build, deploy and run/optimize. You’ll work closely with the product owner, architect(s), and scrum master in order to bring new functionality and technical improvements to market. In addition the software engineer will be expected to provide support for those features and solutions they create – ensuring a fit for purpose operational service

What you’ll be doing…
- Provision, oversight, and governance of expediting scope per programme(s) assigned.
- Providing assurance that the Project’s established risk-based approach to expediting is being upheld, and that support levels within scope are being monitored and managed effectively.
- Provide principal point of contact for Expediting Supervisors per programme(s) assigned.
- To manage risk, perform schedule analysis, and ultimately ensure that schedule critical equipment and materials are suitably prioritised, and their status reported through to Project stakeholders.
- Provide accurate manufacturing status information on supported contract scope, ensuring full visibility to all stakeholders.
- Support creation and implementation of delivery contract mitigation plans.
- To perform expediting escalation visits as required either at critical HPC Contractors premises, or at various hub working locations (globally).
- Responsible for troubleshooting supply chain issues within the team and representing the group at internal and external meetings.
- Able to scope, structure or make best use of existing performance metrics and KPIs for monitoring supplier performance and schedule risk.
- Develop and evaluate new and existing expediting support requirements, and report such into the Expediting Manager.
- Provide a key interface between Expediting, assigned programme(s) and other stakeholders.
- Expedite Contract Partner process assurance.
- Expediting Visit Report governance.
- Represent HPC Expediting at key programme monthly delivery performance meetings.
- Assist the Expediting Manager by providing cover at various Senior Leadership Team, ONR or Logistics meetings as required. Who you are…

- Experienced with a track record of collaborative working within successful project teams.
- Extensive understanding of the EDF nuclear supply chain is essential.
- Extensive experience on Capital Works projects for Process Plants, preferably in the Nuclear, Power, Chemical or Oil and Gas or industries.
- Demonstratable technical knowledge of major equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Must have a proven track record of managing highly effective teams on previous projects.
- Flexibility to travel as and when necessary to meet the needs of Project.
- Previous desk and field expediting experience is essential.
- Knowledge of the supplier documentation submittal and review process.
- A working knowledge of Manhattan material management systems.
- To be able to work decisively (within the remit) and effectively without continual intervention from senior leadership.

We’re looking for you to join us as our next Nuclear Island (NI) N2 Engineering Manager, where you'll lead strategic technical initiatives within the NI Area of HPC, ensuring optimal project outcomes. Your role will encompass a diverse range of complex technical challenges, with a special emphasis on providing strategic and delivery leadership in the Instrumentation and Control (I&C) discipline for HPC. You’ll also be working closely with I&C teams across the project to drive success and innovation.

What you will be doing…

As the NI N2 Engineering Manager, you'll dive into diverse areas, connecting with stakeholders and attending meetings to ensure project-wide awareness. Collaborating with various teams, you'll shape the project's risk landscape, balancing priorities to enhance decision-making and visibility. - Collaborate with senior managers and stakeholders to identify and resolve high-risk technical issues efficiently.
- Foster strong relationships with I&C and N2 teams, construction teams, and engineering organisations across France and the UK.
- Lead the delivery of I&C topics, ensuring alignment with project expectations and schedules.
- Drive I&C engineering delivery within project budgets, exercising strategic and commercial management.
- Produce comprehensive reports for weekly escalations and monthly boards, serving as the technical reporting focal point.
- Chair decision-making and governance committees to ensure optimal project decisions.
- Proactively manage risks for the N2 area and I&C discipline, implementing mitigation plans as needed.
- Collaborate with programs and technical teams to prioritise tasks and maximise efficiency.
- Advocate for pragmatic decision-making aligned with project goals, focusing on technical integrity and risk mitigation.
- Provide line management for a small team of engineers, including recruitment, training, and performance management.


Who you are…

To be suitable for this role, we’re looking for you to hold a relevant degree in engineering or science and strive for chartership in your discipline to showcase your commitment to professional growth as well as wanting you to:


- Bring extensive experience in the nuclear industry, demonstrating familiarity with safety cases and regulatory frameworks.
- Showcase your proficiency in various engineering disciplines, such as I&C, mechanical, and safety case, emphasising your ability to collaborate with experts.
- Demonstrate your capacity to lead complex technical and commercial discussions, managing substantial budgets while maintaining a strong technical perspective.
- Highlight your involvement across the entire project lifecycle for complex EPC projects, including design, construction, commissioning, and ideally operations.
- Prioritise delivery excellence in your approach to projects, underscoring your commitment to achieving results.
- Illustrate your adeptness in communicating with senior leadership and navigating multi-cultural environments within major projects and organisations.

- Review the construction schedule to ensure that identified sequence can be implemented in conjunction with related structures, systems, and other constraints.

You will need effective project experience in your mechanical or electrical discipline, with knowledge of design work, site-based operations and construction or commissioning.You’ll be motivated, self-starting and pragmatic with the ability to work across multiple discipline teams in driving the development, implementation and resolution of technical topics and issues.
